Default Suspension

I have a 997 carrera S (2006) that was ordered from the dactory with the gt3 aero package, I find that with the stock suspension it eats up the front spoiler very fast, I need to set up a firner suspension any ideas?

tks

There are thousands of threads related to suspension options, did you search? Do you have an idea of your options and are you leaning towards something?

There is over a decade and a half of knowledge already in here.

Also, you have the Aerokit not GT3 kit.

Assuming you have stock tire sizes and stock suspension, I don’t think spring rate or lack of firmness is causing your issue, it’s ground clearance.

Also are you angling and going slow when you pull into situations you scrape in?

I have Eibach springs and am constantly scraping the 991 lip on my car, it’s just what happens when you have a low front end.

Also have eibach + getting ready to install the emc2 kit for 991 front spoiler — but I’m already scraping quite a bit.

Is your 991 spoiler noticeably scuffed up? Or only if you look at the underside?

I’d love a full aerokit but I feel like a front lift kit would almost be a necessity

I've read here that some owners have an "air (maybe not air but adjustable) adjustable" ride height adjustment for the front end, for just the situation you describe - driving on smooth roads they want the low ride height but entering parking lots and driveways with elevation change, they increase the ride height.

I installed a cargraphic AirLift noselift kit onto mine to protect my RUF front bumper that doesn't have a replaceable lip. Haven't scraped the front in 9 years.

Drawbacks - expensive & only works with coilovers (Bilstein B16s or GT), so that's not really a drawback since it's so much better than the OEM suspension.

Controller and compressor are mounted in front and fit under the factory plastic. Compressor is on rubber isolation mounts

Airbag lifts the body of the car and does not effect coilover performance when deflated.

Front spoiler is pretty low and the bumper projects forward more than stock also.

All on the underside.

I was wondering this... slick set-up.

Thanks. There's a lot less stress in approaching the driveway, pushing the button, and not dealing with the anxiety of waiting for that sound as you drive up.
