Shipping a speedster lip
I have an offer to get a free speedster lip that is chewed up - however it's on the other side of the country. What's the easiest way to ship such a large bendy fragile part?
A bumper sized box makes it not worth it. Could it be bent gently to form an "oval" and then wrapped?
Thoughts?

Shipping prices have been nuts for a while on large items and heavy items.
Can the bumper be wrapped in thicker brown paper so it's somewhat protected but not in a box therefore smaller for their measuring size?.
I think bending it could mess with the shape and not so good an idea.

We ship a lot of OEM Porsche Spoilers and here's what I can tell you:
We experience damage to the boxes on occasion from all shippers (UPS, Fedex and USPS). You just need one person somewhere in the chain to be careless, and unfortunately it happens.
Originally we shipped in the OEM boxes from Porsche but decided to rather use reinforced boxes from ULine for extra protection. We use full size boxes so the parts are not bent or deformed in any way when shipping.
It's not cheap, but at least you have decent protection.
Bottom line is be very careful with packaging the spoiler. Although they are flexible I would advise against trying to fold to fit a smaller box, unless the flex is minimal.
