Default Help value of 2011 Carrera 2 Cab

Looking at this car: https://www.porschefortmyers.com/use...CA2A92BS740062

Was shown on website under cpo cars, but when I was told this was a mistake and it wasn't a cpo car. Car looks immaculate inside and out, 4 new tires and recent full service (and 60k service two years ago). Only issue is Cab top would not fully close (sensor?, dealer said it would fix or not sell)

They offered a $1250 discount for the cpo issue. So is the car a decent purchase at $54,182?

This car is consistently advertised across numerous platforms as a CPO car.

When you show interest in it - they convey - "Mistake - so sorry. No CPO..."

Weasels.

I would request to see documented maintenance history in order to understand precisely what work was done on this car in the past. What specifically was done at the 60k service on the car? I would want to know that.

I would also have a qualified independent party do a PPI on it - especially since it appears that the dealership is confused / not trustworthy.

For what it’s worth I paid $50k for my 09 C4 cab last year. Not CPO, PDK, sport chrono and full leather with 48k miles. Original MSRP was $108k. No issues (like the cab top in this car) and clean other than a dent on the front bumper and typical rock chips, etc.

in addition to this, i'd be bothered by the top not closing fully. presumably the dealer should have already fixed this; but they haven't (not sure why they'd think anyone would buy a car without fixing this issue). but maybe i am misunderstanding.

Dealership was unaware of top issue, they said they would have it fixed before selling.

I did a nationwide autotrader search, no 2011s are cheaper I could find.

Porsche dealer (like most) will not allow a ppi

60k service is per carfax, was done a Walt's Garage in Punta Gorda (60,000 mile service performed; Cabin air filter replaced/cleaned; Air filter replaced; Drive belt(s) replaced; Oil and filter changed).

Also have to remember this is Cabriolet buying season. Gonna pay top dollar.
If not in rush(like defying gravity ) better deals happen after summer and in winter/early spring when P-car owners get itch to buy newer model/different model/etc

Original plugs in this car? You know that's not a cheap service. It should have been done at 60k if not done previously. What about the condition of the coil packs? Hot weather car and old coil packs?

"Will not allow a PPI...." Again, weasel alert.

Too many red flags with this one. With a good PPI, I would say it is decent enough buy, although the market has softened somewhat. With their behaviors and no PPI, I would move on.

that doesn't sit right with me. i mean, i get that ish happens... but presumably they should be in process of fixing it currently (in truth it should have been caught on their pre-inspection process before putting it on the lot/up for sale). unless they think someone (a poor sucker?) will buy it without it being fixed...

They are fixing can top (probably a sensor).

Walt's confirmed full 60k service was done.
Autohaus confirmed major 40k service was done so plugs not due until 78k miles.

Dealer called and said roof just need calibration, tested and working fine now.
Three owner car, first owner in Illinois, sold in 2016 in Illinois and a year later car was registered in Florida. 2nd owner traded in to my local Porsche dealer and an employee bought it in June, but traded it back a month later for a cayman (so he said to me).

Dealer is now offering $1,750 discount, I told them $2,250 or no deal. Said they would think about it.
