My experience as well - mirror 'dims' with a green tinge - but still too bright for my liking.

Hmmm, mine used to dim just fine, but now it no longer dims at all. The side mirrors dim fine, so all the electronics must be working.
Maybe this is the last step before the liquid starts leaking?

When yours did work, were they satisfactory for night driving?

Just as I suspected, mine doesn’t work as designed.
need new auto dimming rear view mirror. 🤬

Just FYI and an update on mine...I replaced mine with the OEM and it did not work right away. There was a couple blown fuses in my fusebox that were not tied in to critical functions and this must've been one. I am still happy to have gotten a new mirror because mine had melted but now it works...ok...it isn't magic or anything. It is decent enough I guess.
