Koby Motors! Did motor mounts and transmission mount inserts for me. Also did manual transmission fluid change. I like these guys, Jose and Jose Jr run the shop. Hundreds of Porsches in their yard.
Swiss Garage, great for oil changes.
still looking for more……

Thank you for the recommendations. Scheduled for a PPI with someone else within the Houston area. Time is of the essence as well as their thoroughness.

Yes, I also used Rennsport Porsche in Sealy. Warren and Junior are excellent. Specially for air cooled too. The downside is that usually they have a lot of work, but they can accommodate sometimes. They did my ignition coils packs, spark plugs and 3rd radiator installation.

I looked at your cabriolet photo in your profile.
I looks like my car: 2010 C2S, Carrera white cabriolet
I have the same story here. Warren has fit me in on several occasions, oil changes, installed Billy Boat center muffler delete pipes, Fister side cans, spark plugs…etc.
I spoke with Chris at Flat Six Werks about doing some work for me,
4wheel alignment, said he could do. My cab top hydraulic lifters show signs of fluid leakage, for sure to get top stuck in any random position.
Chris advised me on 2 solutions. I will be taking my car to them sometime later in October, heading to Lubbock for a week.

Yes David, mine is a 06’ C2S, with 6M. Almost all stock (I only added 3rd. Radiator -Porsche OE- and did my own grill with honeycomb mesh to protect them -borrowed from GT4 style-). Surely you suggestion of other shop in the area is a good reference.
After 15 years my roof still works fine (knock wood). Just don’t forget to do the cleaning of all drain holes. (A must for the cabriolet). Cheers.

Mine is a 6MT as well.
I didn’t realize that the mechanism was failing until dealership told me.
The best fix is to replace the lifters with new ones. I’m told the rebuilt ones last 1-2 years. Original lasted me 11 so far, thinking that’s the way to go. Looks to be expensive, dealer wants $3500.
Flat Six Werks tells me they can fix it.

Ouch! 3.5k seems a lot of money for the replacement. FSW seems tempting if they’re lot cheaper. Did you do some research online about the issue and parts cost and how to fix it? I read that sometimes is the lack of oil and refilling it fixed the problem, (but I guess you already checked that box).
