Love it.
I'm gonna try and make my own thread as well. But... until then. My first payment has been made. Car is to ship out after the first of the year. Not sure what "extras" are available for R-series. But will debate and discuss those if and when they arise.
So excited.

I’m still years away if I’m going to do it. Who knows maybe he allows some other R series engines to be built by his most trusted staff. With the merger with LN engineering i think a lot of things might change.

For those who were curious, it looks like first engine under the new program comes available on January 10th. It is a stage II 4.0. You have to be prequalified to get access to purchase it and it looks like it will be right around $40k. Core has to be usable, only failure allowed is bore scoring.

yeah came in a bit more than was expecting, but apparently has all internal options included, but that i guess keeps it in line with the "8K of extras" you added to yours. we wont have access to the actual specs until after the new years. im really hoping they dont make them all with the "all options included".

Also from my understanding he is not doing a fixed price all of the engines will be based on the cost to build, so as that fluctuates so could the price of each engine.

FSI shrank things and slowed down a lot on purpose. The remaining staff is comprised of only the longest time employees, the newest having been there for 10 years. Don’t expect a ton of engines to be built, everyone wants a break, and to go back to the way things were before the business exploded. Jake immediately reduced engine build volume by 50% with the new program.
Now each engine gets more time into it than ever before, along with fully documented specifications and a full engine build log. Since there’s no commitments and no schedule, things are done when they are done and cost whatever they cost.

At around 1300 miles and am loving every drive. I still giggle if I roll on the throttle at 4k. The power, the smoothness, the sound just can’t be beat. They did release the first engine through the new program, which sold in less than 2 minutes for $39k. So if you are in the market be sure to get prequalified and stay on top of the release of the motors.

Charles Navarro is really in his element in this feature about LN from Porsche Club of America. Check it out.
