Airbag Dangerous Shipping US to Aus
Hi All,
I have found a 991.2 airbag at Sunset Porsche parts in Portland Oregon (Beaverton).
The guy there, (and the guy at Suncoast Fl) says "we don't do, won't do, hazardous shipping, ever, period, good bye"
So, I have been looking at "freight agents" online, but seem to land on sites with stock photos of smiling clerks holding up a box.
I basically need to get the thing locally picked up from the parts store, wrapped, boxed, identified, labeled, tagged, declared, addressed, blessed and sent.
How can I get a car airbag shipped legally and professionally to Aus, without paying $800 freight?
Arrrgh!
Cheers,
Craig A

hazardous good shipping is tricky thats why most vendors wont do it. I had the same issue when looking for a 991.2 airbag. I finally shopped around in my country itself and got the part brand new for sunset porsche price.

Ah yes! the airbag turns up mysteriously from Germany, all boxed up for perfectly safe "dangerous global physical displacement" (shipping)
Then in the US, a guy who has done a 10 minute online "Dangerous Goods" course, puts another "Dangerous Goods" label on the box and calls UPS to pick it up.
Not rocket science. Argh!
