Engine questions about 997.2 C2S / GTS

5W50 oil and especially in "hot countries" is the recommended and best oil from the clarification I did (including with the official Porsche).
It is definitely advisable to always warm up the oil temperature and not drive hard until the oil temperature reaches working temperature (It takes about 12-15 min. Warming up while driving, never in N mode).

We have been inspecting these (M96/7 9A1)since launch, we have seen NO DFI engines with scoring or indeed any issues ,however of the cars for sale a high number of M96/7 engines are scored ,people obviously try to sell them once early stage symptoms present. Of cars for sale it is (I have this documented) many more than 10% that are scored, though in reality of total build numbers it probably is less than 10%.

I passed the below info plus all the DME output/screens to 2 local Porsche independents and both said 'there will be slight amounts of bore scoring on most engines, just so long as its not grooves' and things like 'drive and maintain this car and it will be fine'
The shop its at now has a record of .5 quarts low after 4k miles.
I could post the DME report if anyone is 'interested' ?
Any thoughts on the below.
Over revs
Range 1=(1919) Range 2=(52) Range 3-6=0
-Compression Cyl#1=(232psi) Cyl#2=(231psi) Cyl#3=(230psi) Cyl#4=(229psi) Cyl#5=(229psi) Cyl#6=(229psi)
-Leakage @100psi Cyl#1=(1-2%) Cyl#2=(4%) Cyl#3=(1-2%) Cyl#4=(2-3%) Cyl#5=(4%) Cyl#6=(3%)
No major differences noted in readings
Not pock marks, carbon that was knocked off from the bore scope.

I would not buy a car where scoring had already started, however this light a score (if done from the sump side) could go 50k miles before it gets worse. Of course it could also go 5,000 miles and get worse. If this scoring is visible from the plug hole side, it will be much worse from the dump side.

Sorry, I don't. Just put it in a few months ago and the car probably only has a few hundred miles on it since then. I have 6 Porsches so none of them see a lot of annual mileage as they all get driven some, but only a few thousand miles per year each.
