E85 flex
Hey guys looking to upgrade to e85 I’m currently running gt30’s and am aware of upgrading the injectors, fuel lines and pumps
my question is will car be strictly e85 or is there a way to make it a flex setup? I know there are are some vehicles out there that can put pump gas in and it automatically will adjust

I ran flex fuel setup in my Golf R32 and E85 tune on my Audi RS3 with map switching. There are two ways to do it:
1. Get a flex fuel sensor and a standalone ECU capable of taking the sensor output. Have the ECU tuned so that the timing will and injector duty cycle will self adjust based on the reading of the flex fuel sensor.
2. Get a Bluetooth flex fuel content analyzer. https://www.fuel-it.com/bluetooth-flex-fuel-analyzer/
You will see the ethanol% on your phone and determine if it's safe to run the E85 tune. If it's too low, stay out of boost or switch to a more conservative map. This is the easier and cheaper option to setup.
Regardless of which way you go, you will need the ECU to be tuned to run ethanol. Luckily for you COBB Tuning offer the accessport for 997 turbo. You should be able to have your car dyno tuned to run ethanol. But I'm not sure if it can take the flex fuel sensor as an input to adjust timing. But at least it should be able to store a few engine mappings for pump gas, low ethanol and high ethanol.
