997.2 decklid badge options?
Guys, so I have this need to replace a worn out "Carrera" badge on the trunk (it is a matte titanium color and letters worn off, black on edges) - all because Im getting my car paint condition in top shape etc so old badges go.
Now, I feel like on my car a Chrome badge of Carrera would be perfect. Is that possible to find from Porsche? THey only offer me a "matte titatnium" badge thats same as my car. Is that my only option or someone has a part number I can give them for a chrome one?
Or perhaps I should go with a gold colored badge? It's a brown car, would look good and match the hood one.
Or perhaps I should even go for one of the newer 911 fonts (or that retro one they put today) or just PORSCHE letters?
Considering I have a choice now Id like to get something that will make the car a little bit more my own.
Thoughts? Post pics of various decklid badging. My car is gonna have a very classic look always, not aggressive. It's a base model Carrera in best metallic brown ever made. Some member cars here for ideas:
Just Porsche logo? I kind of like it but dont like huge badges...
May be a bit too naked?
Too much text?
911 badge old one?
The full monty
911 base one
Or this Narrow Porsche text?

This grey plastic one? Hmm. May be its find when new. just to keep this stock theme. Perhaps. I figured if old one comes out it is time to experiment. I prefer Carrera to 911 overall as all cars are 911, carrera is the model. Its like leaving 3 and removing 25i badge or whatever.

Caution - opposing opinion coming...
The car is an icon. I don't understand why some feel the need to put
P O R S C H E
in large lettering on the decklid. Of course it's a PORSCHE - just look at it.
I think the large PORSCHE letters were done on factory cars by in-house marketers who were reacting to the nonsense being carried out by other manufacturers. "If you can't see the name of the car from 100 yards away, it's a problem..."
Understated is a far better approach in my opinion. Allow the image of the car to make the statement. It's a powerful one that needs no sophomoric embellishment.

Or PlastiDip it in a cool, contrasting/complementary color.

If I could do it in gold like the front badge would, but it is quite tricky to get that look by myself (and I can paint any other color, no problem). So perhaps I should search for a chrome badge from dealer - OR just stick with matte, because Porsche thought it looks good at the time and keeping it standard is also a way to go.

If even I can PlastiDip, you can, too. Trust me.
Yes, matte. No question.

gold badging would look great on your (macadamia) car. and while i dont believe its not offered gold ( P O R S C H E) would look great too. mine (blue) and my brothers (white) cars are up in you photo collection - i did the badging for both - feel free to use this as a guide when doing yours (if you go that route) - https://rennlist.com/g/album/3372540

I haven't ordered it yet but I'm going to go with the new 992 carrera 4s painted white to match the body color. The new font is great plus it's a smaller badge. just my 2 cents. Body color gets my vote.
