Yes there is a plug-n-play factory steering wheel for the 997.2 to replace the multifunction wheel, if that is what is on the car. It took me 5 minutes to swap the wheels. If I can do it, anyone can.

Here is how to add Sport Chrono to a 997
I have been researching this for months and have been told this was not possible by several dealers and industries sources. I am the kind of guy that loves a challenge and have successfully added the Sport Chrono + option to my 2006 997. Below is the step by step procedure for adding this option.
Shopping list.
• New Dash with Sport Chrono option. For me, I found a great condition Leather wrapped one @ https://ladismantler.com $1,200 with the clock.
• Harness for the Chrono clock option as each 997 harness is custom and your car won't have the harness unless your car was born with this option.
• Sport Button option Part # 997-613-137-00 FMH 5
• Sport button Software Part # 997-044-903-01
Once you have the old dash out, make the harness connections for the Sport Chrono option as follows @ the instrument cluster connector
instrument cluster Pin A30/Wake Up-------Connects Sport Chrono Clock Pin A4 Wake Up
instrument cluster Pin A31/CAN high-------Connects Sport Chrono Clock Pin A5 CAN high
instrument cluster Pin A32/CAN Low-------Connects Sport Chrono Clock Pin A2 CAN Low
instrument cluster Pin A18/Term 30 also referred to as Battery + -------Connects Sport Chrono Clock Pin A6 Term 30
instrument cluster Pin A17/Term 31 also referred to as Ground - -------Connects Sport Chrono Clock Pin A1 Term 31
After Harness is complete, Install new dash with Sport Chrono + Clock
Now to make it all work.
Install Sport button option. Although this has nothing to do with the function of the Sport Chrono + Option, you will it's Software Code to activate the Sport Chrono + Option in PWIS original for this car. I don't believe you can do this with the new PWIS out today. Find a tech the has an old school Gen 1 PWIS
Have the dealer Activate the Sport mode and Sport Chrono + option using the same activation code from the Sport button option (997-044-903-01). They need to turn on Sport Chrono + in 3 places. 1. DME, 2. Gateway & 3, Cluster.
Boom! your all set. Working Sport mode & Sport Chrono+ option
Best of luck!
