Default 997.2C2 engine Upgrade Options

My car is approaching the 100k mark and I have begun looking around online at the used parts market to get an idea of cost to replace some of the heavy hitters. I was looking online and could not find information about swapping the base engine to the larger motors out of the 997.2. I imagine these engines would physically fix. My questions is what would be required to run one in the base? Cooling is an obvious one but would I need a new ECU and harness? Thanks,

I don't expect to get less than 200k more or less trouble free miles out of my 997.2. Unless you just want to spend the money on getting more displacement your engine/gearbox should have a lot of life left.

If you're keen on an engine swap, I've read that BGB in florida has a good bit of experience swapping 9a1 engines - turn key.

Outside of higher oil consumption then I would like my engine is very strong and healthy. I am more or less daydreaming to make my Friday go by faster. I will check out BGB for reference. Thanks,

I daydream about putting a supercharger on my 997.2, or maybe an LS3 swap. I'm pretty sure it will never progress beyond that point.

I did say daydream. In daydreams I can put a 572 Chevy in a Mini. But when reality sinks in, the most practical option for upgrading a Porsche is to sell it and buy something with more power.
