Default loud(er) throatier exhaust options?

what are our options? full exhausts? my car has Borla on it now and its nice but I think I might want louder(er)

when you start doing things like Gundo (which I don't think my car has) or going with cross pipe like Fabspeed do these effect emissions or not? anything wrong with just having cats and straight pipes afterwards?

I had muffler deletes previously, and though they sounded very “race car”, they were way too loud after a few minutes cruising. When you are shoulder to shoulder with your passenger and you cant hear each orher talk.......it may be to loud.
currently I am running fister mufflers and fagspeed 200 cell,x pipe. Did mufflers first, and it gave it some sound. Added the x pipe, and now its the perfect sound and volume imo

Fister side mufflers and a Shark Works X pipe for me. I think it's the perfect balance of growl and volume. Without the X pipe I thought it was too quiet.

Running Agency Power headers, fabspeed exhaust, and fabspeed X-pipe on my 05 Carrera S. Sounds great and not obnoxious at cruising speed. Mostly a weekend / occasional track car. Here is a vid/sound clip from Spring Mountain Track.

Agree. 997.2 has PSE and the Sharkwerks opened up the sound. Older 997.1 without PSE a set of Fister mufflers made it sound great.

My car was dead silent in stock form. Added the fister mufflers and you cannot uld actually tell it was running.....added the 200 cell fabspeed x pipe and it really came to life. Absolutely awesome sound, and with cats there are no cel issues

On the 997.1, Tubi is unbeatable imo. On the .2 cars with no PSE and the center muffler, both have to be trashed or modified (side cans) if you want any meaningful change. OEM PSE plus Sharkwerks bypass pipes is near perfection imo. Many go the less expensive path with Gundo Hack or Fister for the side cans and Billy Boat to replace the center muffler. Several threads of fitment issues with Billy Boat though. Don't try to save $ by doing just one of the two. You won't be happy. Leaving the center muffler in place will waste what you spent to fix the side cans.

I have fabspeed x-pipe without cats. Using mini cats for the O2 sensors. Sound wise it is great. At idle and cruise, it's just as quite as it was before. Getting on the gas opens It up. I actually want it a bit louder. So I'll eventually do long tube headers and valves exhaust. But for now, it sounds great. 4k is the loudest through the rev range...

Phil from Fabspeed here. I would love to talk to you about some options.
The Catted x-pipe would pass emission everywhere but visually in Ca. They would also give you some some sound.
The catless version is a little bit trickier to pass emissions but would give you a ton more sound.

Ive got a Frankenstein setup. Catless cross pipes just made it loudly drone. No change in tone with RPMS. Bought it that way but recently put AWS 200 cell cat cross pipes which added the wail that was missing but NHP headers, Agency power cans already had it deep sounding. The added cats quieted it down and let the tone increase with the rpms and brought the wail back vs just a droning tone that got louder
