New wheels...snapped a few pics

Vertini RF.1 (rotary flow forged:rolleyes:) I did see they're manufacturing process...pretty cool I guess. But they are nice and light and look great with a nice concave design. The offsets push them right out flush with the top edge of the fenders.
I was looking for some OZ formula but theyre NLA and then I stumbled on to these. Got a great price on them and they look really good. The front rubber does poke out a whopping 1/8 inch from the top edge of the fenders but not a deal breaker. P zeros have the rim protecters so not the wheels fault. More of a tire design but these wheels need the protection so I can live with it.

Rears 19x11 e t55 with 305's
Fronts 19x8.5 et 45 with 235's

I may dip them anthracite but gonna leave them alone for awhile.

Opinions welcome...

Those look great! I would leave the silver finish… looks great on white

Thanks, they're definitely growing on me

Nice wheels! Centercaps don't match however. If I were you I would get that sorted somehow.

Scottc714 05-14-2019 12:53 AM

Good eye. The caps came with the wheels.I was surprised they were in the boxes. Typical that they dont match. They fit nice and snug but the color is off. Gonna contact Vertini and see if they have their own cap that matches the wheel.

I think the Carrera Sport wheels you have were much better suited to the car. These are almost too "technical" looking in form vs. the round curves of the 911.

I can dig it! Nice change.

I like the detail in design of each spoke. An et50 is the perfect front offset on an 8.5 wheel on a 997, but like you say, not bad.

Did you have an alignment done when they were installed to prolong your tire life. It might be an illusion from the angles in the photos, but the camber of the right front wheel may be off.

Great looking car! I am not sure I could imagine a better looking wheel for it! Well done!

Thats perfect, great sizing and classy look. Are you lowered at all? and do you mind sharing the info/link/pricing on the wheels you got? may be looking at these for a future setup.

-cheers!

Those look great! is your car lowered? what camber settings are you running up front?

snosk8luke 05-14-2019 02:38 PM

Wheels look nice, but i"ll never understand why one would want new wheels before suspension upgrades/lowering. The fender gap totally negates the awesomeness of this setup. Your car though.

Suspension is good. Maybe my lying on the ground snapping the pictures makes the car look lifted?? Nice soft comfortable ride always. Pasm mode firms it way up but the car height does not change regardless of mode. Wouldnt want it any lower. I
already have to do a uturn into driveways as is.

The spoke detail is what hooked me. Love the way the spokes span out to the wheels edge and exactly why the P zeros with protectors are perfect for these wheels. I read many of your posts during my searches (you were always there) and agree et 50 is perfect for the fronts.
unfortunately 45 was my only choice and I wouldn't go any lower. Seems youve been deep into the wheel rabbit hole and have provided great information from what you learned by trial and error so i appreciate that.

Ive only had the car for 4 months and with 23K on the clock I really havent had cause to have the alignment checked. The car drives perfect like a new car. Course thats compared to my aircooleds which all drove like go karts.
I plumbed a level off the tire faces and got exactly 3/8 out at both fronts and 5/8 out at both rears. Im guessing thats 1.5* rear camber and 1* on the fronts.
