997 Maintenance Help

I just picked up my first 911 and the PPI revealed several maintenance items that the previous owner failed to perform. He changed the oil and drove it for the past 5 years so nothing major but was given a pretty large quote to have it done at the local shop. Looking for feedback on how to prioritize so I can enjoy the car and hopefully have some of the work performed over the winter as im in Chicago and plan to store the car. Tires and sensors have already been ordered. Here's the details:

2008 Porsche Carrera
49K miles
No mods

Needs:
Oil change and new filters
Spark Plugs and Ignition Coils
RMS and Clutch replacement (Clutch is not slipping but engaging high)
Brake Pads and Rotors (30% life)

Any input on how to prioritize is much appreciated!

Find a good indy in your area. I would think the belt is also due. Clicking on these links should download a PDF to your computer with the schedule. Goal should be to have all time and mileage up to date.

Actually, I think you have the priority order just right from a timing/need/$$ standpoint. If the clutch and brakes will make it to winter, that would be the perfect time for those and any other mods you have chosen by then. Oil, filters, plugs, coils are more "now" oriented and should be less expensive then the "winter" items.

Good catch on the belt, if not yet done. Check tensioner/pulleys as well.

This is what I would do.

Right now, change the oil, oil filter. Drive it this season.
In winter, drop the gearbox, do the clutch, pressure plate, throw out bearing, inspect the slave cylinder, and replace the RMS.
When it hits 60K miles, do … oil, air filter, spark plugs, ignition coils, water pump, idle pulleys, accessory belt.

Thanks gents! I failed to mention that the RMS is already leaking which may move it up the priority list?

Air filter, cabin filter, wiper blades, brake fluid flush, ...

Leaking how much? Drops on floor? How much? Weeping a little oil was a badge of honor a couple models ago. If it's minimal then might as well get some mileage from the clutch. Need to give more info.
Oil/filters now
Brakes have 30% after 49k miles? Put on another 20k or more. They have sensors. Check every 6-12 months.
Spark plugs this winter. Are coils replaced based on time because they aren't due by 50k miles despite the money people spend to do it "while you're in there"

I’d change oil, engine and cabin filters, brake fluid, then put some miles on it and evaluate. Spark plugs next but you shouldn’t need coils. Take a good look at brakes and tires when doing brake fluid. Optional: Send off an oil sample when you drop the old oil.

Here’s a pic of the leak. Looks to be seeping but not dripping.

Coils are cracked and the DME showed some misfires but I didnt notice anything during the test drive.

Also has a GT2 painted carbon fiber wing on it that I plan to swap out to return to stock at some point. Last on priority list...

I'm kinda in the same boat. Same year model, no service records but clean and 60k miles. I'm already scheduled with Flat 6 Innovations for a stage II performance engine upgrade. I'm pretty damned excited about it!

All righty then - coils and plugs it is.

I'd be interested in that wing if you decide to sell it.

Nice man! Mind me asking what you paid for it?
