Automatic shift lever stiff when warm
My 2005 911 this past year started to have a problem with the console shift lever. During the cold months the lever slides perfectly. Once we get to 80 or so degrees outside the damn thing starts getting stiff to slide. Anyone have some insight as to why or how I can remedy this? Thank you!!

I had a similar issue. I never noticed it being temperature related, but it could have been. Mine seemed to randomly stiffen up making it very difficult to shift from Park to Drive. My indie took a look at it and said that there is a plastic bushing inside the shifter that was sticking. He said he lightly filed it so it had a bit more play. It works flawlessly now. He had never seen the issue before.
