Engine Mounts

Can someone show me where to support the engine when changing engine mounts? Also, because I am changing the mounts I have to assume the engine is sagging a little bit. So, if I just support the engine, the new mount might come up a little short...agree? I am imagining the sequence would be to support the engine, remove old mounts, lift the engine slightly, and install the new mounts?

I purchased the Function First mounts and excited to see how they work. I have read good things. My mounts are original from 2007 and have 60k miles.

Don't take both mounts out at the same time. Better to replace one mount and then the other.

After you have the car on jack stands, use a piece of wood with a floor jack and place it at the center of the oil pan. You just have to lift the engine just enough to support it. Your car should be firmly supported by jack stand, not the floor jack on the oil pan.

Thank you. I would not have thought the oil pan but guess there wouldn't be too much weight.

behind the oil pan(closer to the rear bumper), youll see a 1x 8 area of bracing where you can place a 1x6 block of wood and raise up the engine. As others have noted, remove a mount at a time.
