Sorry, yes, it would be the crankshaft position sensor in your case and there is only one. That's also the one that makes the tach jump on the 0 during starting.

I threw you off with my Durametric screenshot and reference to the camshaft position sensor.

Looks like a critter/rodent chewed completely through the crank position sensor wire, both ends hanging in the breeze. A couple nibbles on the wires plastic bracket too. New sensor should arrive tomorrow morning.

Default Check engine light on

My 06 997 s with the x51 package has had 2 episodes of the check engine light and take to repair shop message. Dealer rand all the tests and reset ECU. Car ran great until I took it north for a 3 hour drive. After a lunch break the same noice came on and in my mind the car ran a bit sluggish at 3800 rpms in 4th and 5th gears.

I have a 2013 911 carrera base model. I recently got a check engine light that said engine control fault driving permitted. It has almost 34 k miles on it. The battery is 8 years old. Could low voltage throw these type of things? Never had any problems.
