Can you carry skis in a cab?

I could not get a 6 foot long edge molding in my cab unless I put it in diagonally from passenger foot well, between the seats, to the back seat.

I guess it would depend on what the cab driver allows. Uber might be more accommodating.

So you are saying the ~170cm ski wrapped in a fabric ski cover would not fit in a cab if the front passenger seat is being used by a human or a canine friend?

Leave the top down and you can fit 260cm jumping skis. (and the giant ***** it takes to use them properly).

Keep the skis out of the car, Barrecrafters make a window mount rack that holds 2 pair of skis. I used to own one and it works quite well. Attaches to side window of any car. There are some available on ebay like this one https://www.ebay.com/i/273721050282?chn=ps

look at the picture of the car on the box, no it doesn't interfere with view, yes it is very secure. this dates back to 70s-80s and works well on cars with a frame around the window. Not sure how well it would work on our Pcars with frameless windows ( maybe ok on coupes not sure about cabs) but for $35-40 might be worth a try. Also not sure automatic window drop when opening door would be an issue.
