Need advice on PDK trans issue .
Bought a 2009 Cab PDK after PPI was done at local dealer . Car had 105,680 miles on the clock . Previous owner had a 105K service done at Indy shop that he bought car from at 95K.
After the PPI I had the clutch oil replaced ,new drive belt.,new plugs ,and 4 wheel align and balance with new tires . I drove the car from Portland to Denver 1200 miles with out burning any oil or any mechanical issues .
last week I cold started car in my garage, let the idle drop down and shifted into reverse . It did not engage. I shifted back into park and tried again 10 seconds and it clicked in .
Today my wife started the car the same way as I did and reverse did not engage ,she shifted back to park and back to reverse same delay and it hooked up and off she went .
Thought I would ask here before I walk into a dealer .

Sounds to me like you're low on clutch oil. Someone's gonna have to check the level. Review invoice from your service when you picked up the car, then discuss with service advisor at whatever shop you'll be taking it to. If PDK service was not performed correctly then you may have recourse with the Portland shop, but chances of that are low. Hopefully it's just additional fluid and PIWIS scan.

Cold oil moves slowly. It has to travel through the PDK before the transmission will operate. What you're experiencing doesn't sound unusual to me.

Seems like the PDK doesn't like to be serviced. Never had an issue with it until I had the 60K mile service done. Similar issue to yours the day after the service was done except my car wouldn't move in either direction after a number of restarts. Flatbed to the dealer where they fixed it in 30 minutes. An embarrassed service advisor admitted with so many words that they screwed something up. Minor thing but enough to make the PDK inoperable. It was not fluid related but electronics related. That much I was able to get gather. No issues 5,000 miles later.

I have 2009 CS2 bought with 100k on the clock. I noticed a hard clunk when shifting from P to R after car had been standing overnight. My solution is to start car in N and then let it idle for a short while with foot off the brake. Seems to have solved the problem. Here is my thinking:
PDK clutch oil pressure is activated by a pump on the transmission. When brake is applied on a PDK car then the clutch is disengaged. From my knowledge of manual transmissions, if the clutch is disengaged then the transmission internals are not moving. If the clutch is engaged, even in N, then the input shaft is rotating. This seems to me to be the only way to get the transmission pump to operate and build pressure for the clutch. So, if the car runs for 10 or 20 seconds in N with the clutch engaged then pressure can build to activate the clutch.
Try is and see.

I have experienced the same problem. It has been to the dealer twice and they unable to replicate the problem. The clutch oil and battery were checked and were fine. The car sits overnight in a heated garage. There are no technical bulletins or alerts regarding this issue.

Thanks for all the helpful info and experiences !!
Update my local dealer found my fluid level in the transmission was high or overfilled by the dealer in the town I bought the car and had the clutch oil replaced .
There were no faults found
After drained some fluid and replaced the correct amount to correct fill
PDK was calibrated , test drove to finalize PDJ adaptation and verify the transmission operating normally at this time !
The dealer that changed the fluid back on 1/31/19 picked up all costs to make it right and Bravo to them Sunset Porsche in Portland .
Wife is Happy , I am Happy all turned out for a Win!!!

Not sure if a filter or pan was replaced with the PDK service clutch oil replaced . Not indicated in the service ticket . $166 for parts and $160 for laborers shown on ticket .

Just oil then. The pan is near $500.
