So BOTH get a win if they're equally distant from the selling price?
If they're both $1500 away from the selling price, but one is under and one is over, Both should get wins??
Either is fine with me.

Not sure about the rules you are quoting above - We never established closest "not going over".
If you remember I bid $1 months ago as a joke when we were debating this subject----> and then stated this is not the "Price is Right" format where winner wins if he is under the price but closest to auction sale.
If that was the rule people would be underbidding more often and takes fun out of it - Winner has to have some sort of clue
Maybe have rule where underbid needs to be within $1000? and if closest wins?
So I say no winner this time because of cloudy rule understanding and we move on
After all I was one of the 2 RL members who started this game

You misunderstood.... ONLY use the "without going over" IF and ONLY if two or more guessers are within EQUAL $'s of the selling / RNM price.
NOT, the "everybody loses if they go over rule"!!! That's not what we were discussing.
BUT, to satisfy everyone one this , Let's just call it BOTH / ALL get a win when they're equal $'s away from the Selling / RNM price.
I don't care either way....Let's keep this fun.
