@bheit1 , I love you like a brother, but this is a factually incorrect statement. You can bid/bet over the hammer price and win our game. You won this round due to the tie-breaker rule. Generally, the closest bid wins. If two bids are equidistant from the hammer price, the lower bid wins.

I took the above quote by Groov literally: A Rule reminder ----------> Winner is guesser closest to winning Bid without going over.
Also, in the original rules post, in the last line with regards to a tie: If both go over it remains a tie and both get a win
Is it possible for both to go over and still be a tie?
Not finding fault here. I can't thank those enough who volunteer their valuable time to keep this going.

bheit1 & JVinPortland - To make it clear and to correct my poor rule description back a few posts:
*When I first started the game, the rule was winner with closest bid whether or not the closest Guess was over. We also had the tie rule if both go over it remains a tie and both get a win.
*Then I changed Rules last year and this is the current Rule:
1. Winner cannot be over the winning bid no matter how close - Winner is closest to Winning Bid WITHOUT going over. (Just like "The Price Is Right" game)
2. There are no more Ties.
3. If Auction Final Bid is UNDER all players Guesses, nobody wins that game. However lowest Guesser gets to choose the next car for Auction Game.
4. If Auction Final Bid is OVER all players Guesses, the player with the highest Guessing Bid wins the game.
