Oops missed RNM. IDK I guess I thought we were guessing what people would bid. The reserve is a choice made by the owner and is sometimes much different than market price. If we were any good at this we would have been closer, but we are not. I say it is based on bids.

I hope my comment didn't jinx the last auction LOL. The owner was smart to put a reserve on that one. The new auction car has high mileage which will hurt the price the most. The only thing I like about it are the 6sp manual and sport exhaust. My guess $27.997

I was actually going to suggest that prior to the end of the auction because (in the comments on BAT) I predicted a RNM.
I was only going to add that it NOT be counted as a Win, iF and only IF it never made to the first "Guess", But if it made it past the first "guess", than we'd let it ride for the Win regardless of reserve.
But, the rules have been changed a few times (some I suggested before), and I didn't want to step on any toes again. A few got butt hurt and left the thread due to a rule change or two. lol

I view it as "what do you think the high bid will be?" You have to consider what the market is for the car as well as what is a reasonable value based on prior sales.

I think we should stick to who has the closest bid wins regardless if it was a reserve not meet. That's the whole idea getting closest to the final number.
