I’m about to change the front rotors for the first time on my 997S at 109k Miles (174k km). Rears are still good. Mostly highway driving.

My car is a daily driver. I accelerate and brake more aggressively than most drivers. My wear sensors tripped at about 45k miles. There was not a lot of meat left on the rotors to resurface so I replaced them.
Now I have almost 80k miles on the car and I suspect (from looking at the pad thickness) that I have maybe another 5k miles left in them The rotors are grooved and will need replacement again.
This is on an '09 C2 convertible.

My pads went at around 75K.... rotors were within limit but right at the border. I chose to change the rotors too.... I don;t know how much more I would have gotten from the rotors, but I changed them figuring I would't have to change anything again until 150K miles. Regarding resurfacing, yea, sure you can do that, but again, since they last so long anyway, I don;t know what you are buying.... change it out and you will have no issues for a long time.
Peace

Fronts were replaced before I bought the car at 38k. I will probably do the rears this year around 55k. The rears show some cracks. Car started life in LA. Glad I don't have to drive in that traffic. I expect I should make it to at least 85k before I need to replace them again.

09 C2 purchased with 61k miles. Front rotors & pads already replaced when I bought it... likely in the 50-60k range. Rears are still original now with 64k miles on it and look like they'll still last a bit longer (.5mm above min). Will just swap out rear rotors and pads at the same time sometime later this year or next.
