The only part that needs removed for this was the small oem lip just one screw on driver’s side and it then pulls off. As far as the small side trim pieces if that’s what you’re referring to they stay on but to remove them I believe they just snapped in and out.

No the side trim pieces can only be removed from the inside so that requires you to remove the bumper first.
I know this for a fact because I need to remove mine to try out an Aero Function front lip that I purchased.
One of these days now that the weather is getting better here in Toronto....

Ahh yes- a little off topic but I had removed the bumper at time of lip install (not necessary unless a screw head for lip cuts the headlight washer line...) so that’s probably when I removed those. Made a simple project a bit more involved but good chance to clean stuff up.

As far as bumper removal not much info online for .2 but very similar to .1. Couple things I did learn is the difficult screw behind side markers didn’t need to come out as info I had read/watched said- I left those screws in. Headlights can stay in but can come out so simple may as well remove for access to stuff. Turn signals stay in bumper just unplug harness both sides. Also there are two hidden clips by headlights that slide in toward frunk to release the bumper. Otherwise just a bunch of t25 and t30 screws, wheels and wheel liners too come off.

Thanks Bruno/ Jason. I was referring to the little side trim pieces as I have some replacements. Exactly the info I was looking for.

Mine are looking a bit tired but I think I'm going to order one of these lips, as well.

Bumping this as I received my front lip yesterday. Looks to be a nice piece. Did you use the supplied screws or did you just use the 3M adhesive to attach the lip? Would prefer not to drill into anything.

in my opinion, this is the best looking lip for the 997.2. Makes the car look a little more like a GT3 style. If they did one just like this for the 997.1, I may have never spent the coin I did on a GT3 bumper.
