Default Best Looking Rims?

Hey All
I have a 08 Carrara S and was wondering what everyone’s favorite looking wheels are? Thinking about changing...

What is definition of "best"? I would start with a base like a solid reputable manufacture: HRE, Forgelines, Champion, BBS, Volk, Apex, OZs...then pick a style.. what you like that you would enjoy looking and not listening other's opinions. Here are what considered gorgeous classic design that I never heard anybody complaining about:

Forgeline GA1R

Champion RG5

My personal favorites would be 18” E88’s and 19” GA1R’s

"Good" is very subjective. If you are looking for track wheels, then you need to be looking at forged wheels.
There are some good cast wheels as well as folks mentioned.

If it's mainly for looks then I would just google and pick a few from among the hundreds of wheels you see.
I would still filter it down by manufacturer and ensure that they are of good quality.

Here in the forums we have some known wheel retailers (to name just a couple):
Wheel Enhancement => http://www.wheelenhancement.com/prod...?filter=15:142
Wheel Dynamics => https://wheeldynamics.com/all-porsche-wheels.html

My personal favourite is the Fuchs look wheels that came with the original 2010 997 Sport Classic and Speedster.
You could cough up $6K for the originals or buy a replica from a reputed seller for a fraction of that cost

My favorite wheels are any that don't show a lot of dirt and are easy to clean.

As mentioned, it's so subjective that it's hard to offer suggestions. You might look through this thread, though:

Im a purest. I like these two OEM wheels (for the 997.1):

#1 - 19" Carrera Sports.
The first 997 I put a bid on was arctic silver with satin platinum Carrera Sports and a polished lip. I still lust for them.

#2 - 19" Sport Designs.
These are the wheels on my car and I think they look tight on a silver car with a drop. However ive seen them on other colors without the drop they tend to look a little flaccid.

Definitely no disagreement from me but such a subjective topic it's hard to see this discussion ever ending. Forgeline GA1R's in "Midnight silver" finish on my current car here. Not only good looks but right around 20 lbs each for the fronts and 21 for the rears so sheds almost 10 lbs of unsprung weight on each corner.

Thanks Bruce. And like you, I always liked the Carrera Sports the best of the OEM wheels. The silver one you posted with the mountains in the background looks really sharp.

Great looking wheels! They can be the perfect color for any color car, really. Blue, green, white, black, silver: it is a very versatile color!
