Default "FISTER FD" And an important question about Mufflers & Catalytic converters

I recently installed a "FISTER D" exhaust. The result is amazing, the sound amazing! But, during the installation we discovered that there are bits of soot and catalytic converter in Mufflers and also in the catalytic converters. When you shake them you hear noise.
(carrera s 2005 with original exhaust system).
what should I do?
Could this damage the engine?
Could it cause any damage?
Is this a reasonable wear and tear?
I'd love to know that everything is fine.
Thanks in advance

Cats can disintegrate and/or clog over time, depending on conditions. Won't hurt the engine. May clog the mufflers and/or cat, and cause a CEL.

Thanks bro
I will note that in terms of the flow of air and power it seems and feels that everything flows smoothly. I did not have a warning light.

Probably most of us particles crumble in mufflers and catalytic converters.
I really like the sound of the "FD" and so it was important to me to know that nothing irreversible can be caused ..

When I received my Fisters they too had a rattle. I emailed Fister (Daryl or Darren?) and he said it was normal. It's a product of the welding (slag, soot, or whatever) and to go ahead and install them and it should blast out with use. I've never removed the new mufflers to see if the rattling has been eliminated though...maybe I should now that I've run them for several thousand miles..

These are filled with parts that have disintegrated from the catalytic converter. If you take a rubber hammer and knock on the catalytic converter and exhaust system you will probably hear noise.
Wear of the original converter..

Perfect opportunity to upgrade to a 200 cell X-cat. Those bits of broken cat wraps are going to travel into the mufflers and clog them up.

I have the Fabspeed one which uses HJS. A ant speak to the Magnaflow other than that they seem to be a known and reputable company.

Is there a way to avoid getting a CEL with 200 cell cats?

You shouldn't get a CEL as that is the primary function of the catalytic converters. The HJS 200 cell cats do that job quite well! The condition of the o2 sensors plays a factor as well - condition and age. There is always the slight chance that you will get a CEL, and some ways to alleviate that are again, checking the o2 sensors, and alternatively o2 spacers may work, and a tune is a great way to disable the CEL while adding extra power.

100 cell cats or cat bypass pipes are the ones that throw codes. Sometimes with 100 cell cats you can use an O2 spacer and get away with it.

High quality 200 cell cats don't throw any codes.
