When browsing this forum I have seen my screen switch to a Flash download page... this happened several times and does not look legit. Beware!
|
Yes i had the same thing happen to me on my mac last night. Oddly it was happening on the recent 997.2 engine failure thread....
|
My security software blocked this site a couple times last night. It wouldn't let me on 6speedonline at all. I'm a Mac user as well. Seems OK today.

There's a very subtle screen that pops up saying you need to upload the latest McAfee protection upgrades. Don't do it! It's a scam. If you have McAfee and it needs an upgrade, they email you.
|
Me too
Earlier today, on my Mac, 6speed kept opening something about needing an Adobe Flash update. I ran like hell. |
Something bad is coming out from this site. The screens are subtle and look legit (see below), but they are not. Someone less tuned to IT security can find himself in big trouble. Management should check it out.

This is only an apple issue. With a PC and the chrome browser you can make it disable any pop-ups that don't originate from the same domain. You can't disable.all popups or the photo loader won't work.
For info on how to do this on a PC look up the "Malicious Advertising" thread. |
I suggest as many of us as possible report the matter to phishing@adobe.com (I did so last night)
They regularly deal with such issues |
Happened this morning on my mac. Would reappear after restart, had to clear history to get rid of it.

IB needs to clean up their act and either fix their stuff or better manage their advertisers. The domain my security service is blocking is a known malware site. If a quick google search can provide me a full analysis of the attack, it’s publicly known and IB should be on it. Is there an admin contact for IB? I didn’t see one on their corporate site. |
I got the same thing on my iMac yesterday. Still figuring out how to purge it.
|
Just don’t click on anything. If you have, you you may have been hijacked. Provided that’s not the case, there is no way for you to “purge” it. It’s coming from IB or their advertisers. Here is detailed info: https://blog.confiant.com/confiant-m...c-cd31e885c202 @admin @administrator please fix your stuff.

I've had that issue on my Mac. I'll try clearing my history. My antivirus software deleted it, but it still pops up from time to time.
|
Try removing clearing all cookies and restart safari or your browser, this worked for me on my Mac.
