Default Narrow body wheels on wide body

Upgraded to a 997.2 4S from 997.1S. I have an extra set of winter wheels/tires but of course they are the non widebody Carrera classic model.

Currently have them them mounted and they obviously are just a little more tucked inside, 16mm more.

Rather than buy new wheels which would run $1000 as I haven’t been able to find just the rears, would 10mm spacers make sense?

Yes they would still be tucked but it would be less so. Figure with the poor weather it may help with rocks and stuff being flung up.

Any other thoughts? Also the tires are still OEM size but just having a different offset can’t be bad for the differential/AWD system can it?

no issues for regular driving at all. Get the spacers and be done with it

Can't you even run wider spacers? 15mm?

I have winter 275/19 on the rear of a Targa 4s and 225 on the front. Not as good looking as the 305 aand235 but as they are snow tires they work

I have 265/40/18 rears for my winter setup and run 45mm spacers. They bolt on to the hub and the rim bolts on to the spacers. No problem

Not pushing the wheels all the way out would also give you the opportunity to put on low profile snow chains should the need arise.

And......if the rear wheels and tires are tucked in a bit more, not a bad thing to protect the fenders from all the chemicals and debris on winter roads.

I used to have same setup,
997.1 C4 with narrow body rear wheels, 265 snow tires with 15mm spacer. worked perfectly.
