Hi boys and girls. Haven't been here in a while, hope things are going well.
I'm looking to get back in to a Carrera and found a nice one that is local to Chicago. Car has been serviced at Wizard Werks on Division last two years. Wanted to see if the previous owner of this vehicle is anywhere on these boards. Would love to know details about the vehicle. Its 09 C4S 6speed sport chrono and ventilated seats. other than wheels dont know of any distinguishable traits.

What wheels are those. They look like they might be Race Tech Forged. If so, though they may look nice, they shouldn't even be on a car. RTF is out of business, in lawsuits, and there have been multiple occurences of wheels fracturing at the spokes due to poor quality Chinese forgings being used and RTF not doing proper load analysis on their wheel designs.
If they're a different brand (can't clearly see the wheel cap from the posted photo with the angle), then ignore this PSA.

I primarily want to talk to the owner because the car has 6 owners on record (2 might be dealers) and early in its life it was in an accident. I am willing to take a chance as this price seems to be 'ok' and I've had hard time finding the Carrera I like that is local to me. As long as I can get some unbiased opinion about its condition after the accident....

Excellent. Proceed along then and sorry for the distraction. The spoke at the hub didn't look quite like RTF but didn't remember if they had a few different versions of a particular design (like ADV1 does). Just didn't want you factoring into your price analysis that it had these nice wheels and have you come to find out they were not only worthless, but unsafe.

Yea, my car had 5 owners listed on Carfax but it was actually 2. One owner moved states and 2 dealers were counted.
As for the accident, if it lists where it was you can contact the local police department for the report. They will charge you like $20. I did that for a truck I bought. Unfortunately the report didnt arrive until after I bought the car, but at least I have it if I ever sell it.

I can't believe the police will provide that. Accident reports have all kinds of personal information on them - names, addresses, DL#s, etc. Does the one they sent you have all of that visible or just the details of the accident itself?
