911 PDK CAB purchase with optional with or without CPO ??
So I have to make a decision today on the purchase of a 2012 991 Carrera S cabriolet. The car is being offered to me for $3000 discount if I do not wish to have a factory to your CPO added The car is extremely clean with a ton of options and has just over 65,000 miles The question is do I purchase with the CPO for an additional $3000 or roll the dice or look into a fidelity platinum for less money and probably another year extension ? The Carfax shows the service has all been done at the same dealership and has mainly been oil changes and standard service to include the 40 and 60,000 mile service. The car currently has new brakes plugs belt and tires all done within the last 15,000 miles any thoughts? |
If you can swing the $3k, I would do it for multiple reasons. A factory CPO warranty is the gold standard.

+2 The CPO will buy peace of mind and/or repairs.

I have had two repairs so far under warranty. More than paid for the upfront cost.
Also think it might help resale value down the road |
I'm going to agree with 996AE. If the car is as good as you say, it is more likely to need something after the CPO expires. So, extended warranty makes more sense.

I called them back and they took off another $ 1,000 for the CPO. I Pulled the trigger.
