New 997
Well, I've been a lurker for a while and finally took the plunge.
Bought my first 911 in 1975. A '68. Paid $5k. $10k later sold it to my neighbor for $3k. Really? Went thru all the normal stuff (chain tensioners, pulled studs). Finally found a '67 S aluminum case ($300), installed 90mm pistons/cyl bumped it to a 2.5. Custom ground cams. Work done by Roger Bursch at Scientific Automotive in Pasadena, Ca. Ran good. Drove AMG and M cars after that https://cimg5.ibsrv.net/gimg/rennlis...39b2b5eb3.jpeg https://cimg1.ibsrv.net/gimg/rennlis...b6f0dcabec.jpg , but, always a Porsche guy. Finally bought a '12 Panamera S. Wonderful car, but, something was missing. Told my wife I am going to look at a 911 at the dealer. She said "Don't do it". Anyway, here I am at 67 years old and back in a 911. Man, I love this car. |
Beautiful. Love the color.

Congratulations! More pics of the car! |
Im not usually a fan of the black, grey or silvers but they really pop when detailed like yours. What area of the country did you purchase it from? And yea....we need more pictures.
