New Owner 997 S!

Hello everyone!

Been lurking for a while and finally pulled the trigger one of my dream cars. Purchased this 2006 Carrera 911 S and pick it up next week. Clean carfax, single owner (lease then purchased), 90k miles but a good service record, perfect interior and great exterior.

Had Stuttgart Specialist do the PPI in Louisville, KY and came back with great results, only finding one Over Rev a few years ago. Once I got the news we settled on 31.5k out the door!

Also attached the build sheet below!

Current upgrades:
LED taillights/signals
Pioneer Interface with back up camera
Carbon fiber Intake system (fabspeed?)
lightly tinted windows

Already purchased:
19 inch OZ legerras
7/15mm spacers
Suncoast Alcantara gt2 RS shift knob/boot/e brake handle

Future upgrades:
HR springs
front lip? Or GT3 front bumper
re-do the muffler and tips for more sound/flow/look

Look forward to joining the family!

Great Find, beautiful 911 and welcome to the club! Nice to see you already have the sport shifter option which is awesome! You will be happy with those OZ wheels too! Drive it like you stole it , but I would also recommend you do a track day with a good 911 instructor. These cars do not defy physics so knowing how to be patient on tight corner entries and then knowing when to pull the trigger for blasting out of the corner exit make these cars very exciting, fast, and unique!! Enjoy in good health!!

Congrats, and beautiful car! Welcome to the Arctic silver 997.1 club.

Great looking car. Congrats and as we know, the silvers are the best colors :)

Yes, that's a Fabspeed J-pipe intake, prior to them releasing the newer Y-pipe intake. It's the same one I run and the J-pipe worked better on my car than the Y.

I'd recommend a K&N hydrophobic filter precover for the air filter, which will keep the filter media from getting saturated with water if you drive or park in the rain, which can shorten the service life or effectiveness of the filter.

Thanks for all the support and warm welcome!

I will definitely take your advice on a few of these replies. Currently looking for some PCA days around STL for spring/summer!

Congrats and welcome!

Yup, that is an awesome carbon fiber air intake and those are pricey brand new! I have something similar in design, but not price, by K&N and these intakes sounds awesome above 5000 rpm! For sure take Petza914's advice and get yourself a wet weather cover for that cone filter. I keep mine in my trunk and if I am caught in the rain, or the occasional detail high pressure wash job, then for sure that cover goes on.

I'm excited to see what your car looks like with the wheels+spacers. I'm looking at getting the 19" Leggera HLT, and to avoid spacers I was looking at the widebody fitment - they're +53/+50, and I know it's been done before but for some reason I am still a little skeptical! just afraid it may stick out a little bit too much. this will be a good test!
