PPi location needed in Houston (norrh)

I am looking to buy a 2012 Porsche 911 and to my surprise the Porsche of north Houston service department informed me that they do not perform PPIs on cars. Interesting.

Can anyone recommend a good independent shop in the Houston or north Houston area?

Thank you in advance !

The Indy I use is on the west side of town - C & B European (Craig) 713-955-3410. In Houston (Heights) is Modern Aircooled, 832-582-7344. Jordan is the owner, very highly regarded by PCA folks here.

I highly recommend European Auto Techniks (281-873-5111). I used them for a PPI on my 996 and received a thorough report. You do need to specify how detailed you want the PPI to be (engine internals, cosmetics, etc.)

Michael has been my indy for several years and has never steered me wrong. And he really knows P cars.

His shop is on the north side of town - near 1960 and TC Jester.

I used Motorwerks Auto Group in Houston for my PPI 2 yrs ago on my 997S which I recently sold - They are outstanding and do only high end exotics.

Jordan at Modern Aircooled is a great guy and a good place to take your car, but he does not do PPI’s.

Not to hijack but did they explain why they won't do a PPI? They did a PPI for me ages ago (5y ago?) without any issues.

I can answer this one at least for Porsche of North Houston. I was told that the risk reward for a PPI is too high. Good reviews are of the utmost priority to Porsche dealers. That is what they hang their hats on. Porsche owners as a whole are a picky lot of people. The dealers who do PPI’s don’t charge that much, a couple hours work as standard. Yet if they miss something they can get a really bad review. High risk with low reward.

JK,
No, the service advisor just said they do not do "pre car purchase" inspections even after I said I would like them to preform and service needed. Anyway, the car I was putting the deposit on sold today.
