Default We need your help

2019 has been a rough start for car enthusiasts in CA. CHP and local police have been in full force pulling over, not only modified cars but OEM cars that they deem "loud" like a stock M4 and Mustangs. We like to drive our cars that have a very nice exhaust tone.

"Existing law requires every motor vehicle subject to registration to be equipped with an adequate muffler in constant operation and properly maintained to prevent any excessive or unusual noise and prohibits a muffler or exhaust system from being equipped with a cutout, bypass, or similar device. Existing law further prohibits the modification of an exhaust system of a motor vehicle in a manner that will amplify or increase the noise emitted by the motor of the vehicle so that the vehicle exceeds existing noise limits.
This bill would include, among those conditions that are disqualifying, a violation of the above-described requirements related to mufflers and exhaust systems."

For those in CA, please help sign the petition and pass it on.

This seems like the case and even OEM cars with a sport tone have been pulled over and cited. It's a non-correctable citation resulting in a $1,000 fine.

It's very stupid how they announced it yet use a car that's at Laguna Seca

The way it sounds "Excessively Loud" subjective ... the ol' "If you can afford a nice car, you can afford to help fund the State"

Hey, CA! How about definitive and concise limits that are measurable and not left to Subjective Interpretations.

Personally, I think the middle class (bulk of the individual tax payers) should continue the exodus from California, until California has the state they are so diligently making. A Socialist Democracy, that is where the illegal voters (non citizens) get to decide how to spend your money. A place where someone paying 80% income tax earns less than non working people on welfare.

I would like to see the migration of silicon valley to some place like Alabama, not just for the tax incentives but the quality of life for everyone would be fantastic ... except for California, but even then they would not have enough empty housing to cover the number of homeless.

I almost forgot to mention the introduction of Equality of Outcome Diversity Hiring, instead of Meritocracy based employment... I don't think that works real well in Civil Engineering, Medical Doctors, Construction Engineers, and the like ...

California is a very interesting place to observe for social, political, environmental and economic impact on an environment that can't support the population density. I wish I was young enough to see what it is like 50 years from now. It will be fascinating. If you think about, what's happening in California is what happened on the NE coast 100 years ago.

I absolutely agree and I work for one of the top 5 companies from Silicon Valley. Being born and raised in San Diego, the good times of California living are starting to diminish. It's no longer the great state that I once knew. It's continuing to get ran to the ground and now with Gavin Newsom recently sworn in, it's only going to get worse.

Here is video of what we can expect.

Come on guys. Socialism has been proven to consistently work over the years. Until of course you run out of other people’s money.
