Where to buy the mythical E15 Ext Torx Socket...??
Im planning on tackling my water pump this weekend but ran into a snag. The Cat bracket requires an E15 external torx socket to remove the 2 torx bolts holding it on...but nobody sells the E15 socket. All sets go E10, 12, 14, 16, 18. Checked HF, Home Depot, and Ace as well as Amazon. Nada.
My mechanic recommended a 10mm box wrench which worked for one but rounded the other.
Any tips or workarounds appreciated.

Thx for all the tips guys. I went to the local Porsche dealer and asked the head tech what he used. He pulled out his set only to realize he didnt have an E15 either :-) He swore the 14 or 16 would work and was nice enough to lend me his (even though they didnt work).
What did work was a ratcheting 10mm box wrench. I rounded the edges on the first one using a regular 10mm box but was able to get it with pipe wrench pliers.
After I got past this step I wrote another overly detailed account of how to remove the water pump if anyone needs in the future.

I'm not sure where it's claimed to be E15, but considering neither Snap-On nor Hazet list an E15 socket in their catalogs, nor do I see that size documented anywhere I'm inclined to believe that the bolt isn't an E15.
In my experience, low quality tools tend to be sized inaccurately/imprecisely, especially when it comes to Torx.

Going to tackle this job soon and I always like to have the proper tools rather than strip out a bolt and then waste double the repair time of the job trying to remove a stripped nut....
Question - What type of German maniac with all the domestic fasteners available decides to use the most obscure size on earth an E15 Torx ??? Not even Snap On lists this size and every set I have encountered and even the sets suggested above all exclude the E15 ?
I actually was convinced that this size does not actually exist as even on-line there were no indications of such a size anywhere !! Until I found this site.

I guess I will try a 12pt+ 10mm socket and hope for the best since this is truly a unicorn situation ...
