Default Custom Interiors?

Surprised no one has found easy way to spruce up our interiors...example would be custom door cards like they do in the air cooled community...or seat covers with sport classic plaid etc.

Anyone done this? My guess is it’s much more difficult or else we might have seen this by now..

There’s a few 997 folks with custom interiors. Would be cool to see some pics.

The guy that runs the 997 Facebook group has a very nicely re-done interior. In fact, I think he did the majority of the stitching himself. If you aren't in that group go join and then look up Wade McGee

My interior is kinda custom-lite but I didn't diverge from what you could have gotten from Porsche. Alcantara and painted trim up front. Mostly GT3esque cept for the S chrome dash vents instead of my original volcano ones.

Quiet a few recent threads about customized steering wheels. Seems to be gaining in popularity.

Let’s get this started. Here’s mine.

I have done the following:

- Momo Prototipo steering wheel
- Custom horn button in leather with polished aluminum bezel
- Custom walnut and maple wood shift ****
- Red seatbelts
- RS door pull straps
- Painted black the airbag sign on the doors
- Removed plastic door sills

Love this! Thanks for sharing. Saw the RS strap conversion diy. Where did you get wheel? Did you do that your self?

Would be great to somehow add sport classic like door card with match seats too...
I am also interested in seeing if there are any gauge customization...kinda like the Singer/Tag Huer concept.

A lot easier to customize your interior if you have GT2 buckets.

Thank you!

I got the wheel from Amazon, custom horn button and **** from Manuel which is a guy from Mexico that does beautiful work (he ships to the US). The installation of the wheel was done by my Porsche indy (TuneRS Motorsports in Coral Springs FL). They did all the stuff required to disable the airbag and keep the horn working. All of this without having any warning lights on of course.

The RS door pulls are OEM and I got them from Suncoast. They sell the complete kit: https://www.suncoastparts.com/product/DSK.html

I bought the seat belts from Maxspeed Motorsports:

Installed the following:

OEM Alcantara bits
Steering wheel, sports seats, hand brake

Custom Alcantara bits:
Glove box, panel under steering wheel

Custom painted bits:
Center console, cup holder trim, tabs on either side of steering wheel

Misc:
Alumalook C2S hvac vents

Like I said, kinda custom. I painted the interior trim and did be alcantara on the glovebox/under steering wheel myself.
