I am going a different direction than planned so have kit A (NIB) and spoiler available if anyone is interested. No official for sale post so direct message me if interested.

EMC2, any chance you could post a 997.1 Kit B full frontal photo? The pic with the far ends of the front cropped is making it hard for me to determine if I like the look enough to go for it.

Arctic997; please see below as requested.. It's tough to get a great pic with a bumper that has no structural support as it flexes easily, but hopefully this helps a bit.
Several Kit B's have shipped, so hopefully we'll see some installed pics over the next few weeks (weather dependent).

Thanks EMC2, I appreciate it. I do like the look of the Kit B, but I'm still not sure if I like it better than Kit A.

I'm 997.1, non-PASM, lowered on H&R springs and according to your chart, I can do either of your kits. I'm quickly approaching shame with how many hours I've spent looking at the pictures on this thread trying to make up my mind.

Mine's no daily driver and spends October through May sitting on a lift. I do put about 3k on it between June and October. The local areas roads are pretty good, but not great and I have lightly scraped the bottom of the front bumper, without a spoiler, a couple of times.

I think for me, it comes down to aesthetics.

I ordered the 991 spoiler you recommend and should have it by Wednesday. I plan on mocking it up to reflect the two kits and make my decision, but wondering, which Kit is your personal choice, aesthetically? If you were in my shoes, and could go with either Kit, which would you choose?

I'm pasting below, a reply I sent via PM to another member who asked the same question about aesthetics.
Hopefully it helps a little.

I would also add that if you have already scraped without a spoiler installed, then Kit B will be the functional preference.

"For Kit B - although it protrudes more in the front (see also the A/B side-by side pics in the thread), the sides of the spoiler wrap around the bumper more naturally on Kit B than with Kit A. Which is why the wing end-caps (fillers) are not needed with Kit B, as there is no gap at the ends of the spoiler.

In many ways, Kit B integrates onto the bumper like the later 991.2 SPASM spoiler - see below:

Size: 233.0 KB

In the end I really don't have a preference between the two options, as I think they both enhance the front end of the vehicle, albeit with slightly different approaches.

Given that I've seen both installed on the bumper - If it were my car I would drive the decision more on the ground clearance than aesthetics, just because I think they both look good.

Of course this is only my personal opinion, and everyone's taste is different."

Any pics of Kit B on a car? Very interested in getting one of these for my 2005 C2S but it is a daily driver and I have a history of losing front spoilers...

Hey folks!! Hello from a cold, damp UK.

Last week I used a type 2 kit to fit a 991 spoiler to my gen1 997. I had the luxury of fitting it without the bumper fitted to the car, but its easy anyway.
Be brave, check your measurements several times and it will all be fine!

Here are a few quick pics from today (still damp, still cold)..

It definitely divides opinion. Purists hate it, the rest like it. I say \"My car, my call. Your car, your call" 🙂

I like it, but as another installer, I am biased.
