Hello everyone. I've been a member of Rennlist for a while and found the forum very helpful in my ownership experience. Over the years, I've generated a lot of video content around my ownership experience. This week, I journaled my various maintenance, mods, and repair DIYs, buyer's guide, and product review videos onto a website. I've always found dc2000/Car Fanatic's videos to be excellent, I've been following them on YT since I bought my 911 in summer 2015.

It's funny that I used to be a noob and still feel like one. There's always something new to learn about these cars and, as owners rack up the miles on the 997.2, we discover more!

I've written up a number of DIY maintenance guides over the past year or so of ownership. Happy to have them added to your repo. Rennlist has not done a very good job maintaining their How To section.

Well you've done it now, TheBruce. With one of your write-ups, I'm thinking about doing springs over the winter. BTW, My name is Bruce.

Hey Bruce! "The Bruce" is actually the nickname we gave my son...who funny enough named a stray dog we found "Batman". Turned out to be great marketing. Everyone loved the dog named Batman and he was adopted in a few days.

Good luck on the project. Take a look at my recent writeup on the strut mounts. If you have over 50k miles I would recommend you replace those while you have the struts off. It also has some new tips a to get the rears off. I struggled with those my first time but last week we had the rear strut out in 15 minutes. It was very easy the second time around.

I would also recommend a lift (or at least the ability to get all four wheels up on jack stands), an electric impact wrench and an extra set of hands who can help you for at strategic spots.

I believe I read your rear strut mount tutorial a few days ago, thanks. That's a good idea...I've 53,000 miles on my 997.

I purchased a lift (Quick jack ?) shortly after getting the car and have done my own wrenching and maintenance ever since...with the help of this forum.
