It can be done but much easier with the bumper off. Do yourself a favor and remove it. It doesnt take long at all and is straight forward.

I did not remove the bumper on my 11 C2S. I was not able to see where removing the bumper would have helped and I didn’t want to risk mucking up the rear camera.

Yeah, that’s my issue. Plus I have to do everything myself and don’t want screw with the bumper and cam. I’ll just have to crawl under and see what I am up against.

Yes I have done it without removing the bumper and I would never do it that way again. I have since done several more changes to the exhaust and I always remove the bumper first. It makes everything WAY easier. If you are installing this yourself then removing the bumper is by far the easiest part of the process.

Installed the Topgear center bypass today without removing the bumper. Thankfully my car spent the first ten years in Beverly Hills and two years in Washington since I’ve owned it, so all the bolts came out with relative ease. The top cat bolts were a little tough to get to with the socket. Swivel socket with a little finesse and they were out.

The sound has a little more growl to it but not loud at all. Pretty happy with it and I always enjoy some wrenching.

Any noticeable power difference? Weight and quality?

Lighter weight. Looks to be of high quality. Haven’t noticed increased performance (but I smile more when my right toe goes toward the floor!)

The quality is top notch. Fell right into place. Definitely lighter than the muffler. I could say there was a slight power difference but I’d probably say that about any mod. 🙃

After the install, do you guys experience increased vibration on the steering wheel when stopped at lights? I have a PSE permanently on fyi..

Also the tailipipes seem to be vibrating a lot when in Park.

I don’t have any additional vibration after installing the Topgear x pipe with Fisters. If anything, I actually have a lot less vibration after install, even with upgraded Function First motor mounts. Perhaps you should check your bolts and make sure the exhaust system is not contacting the rear bumper or heat shield.

No vibration on mine. I’d check to make sure nuts are snug and all supports are connected.

I haven’t noticed any vibration. If anything it is quieter during idle. I think the the muffler had some rattling that is gone now.

Ok, it was bothering me the whole night so I drove down Sat morning to re-tighten everything, they insisted everything was fine.. no reason to doubt them as they're quite a notable Porsche indie. But the vibration is still there.

My car is PDK, 127k km mileage. The vibration is felt thru the steering mostly, but i think the cabin is feeling it too. At Park or Neutral, there is none.. only at 1st gear when stopped, then it appears. When being driven, there isn't. My question is: might it be my old engine mounts?

Sounds like motor mounts. Very easy DIY.
