front license plate mounting

Have holes drilled to mount it or get a tow hook frame, which attaches to your tow hook when small circular cover removed. Can put it on and take it off as you want. Google it. Many opinions on this Forum. No plate, drill holes or tow hook. Many will probably chime in on this topic.

I went with Skene Design no front holes license plate. It still requires drilling but instead on the fronts its discreetly under the bumpers. I got a fix it and mounted this one.

Whatever you do DO NOT drill holes in front bumper - Lots of suggestions above for mounting using towhook opening or bracket which mounts UNDER bumper and any holes drilled are out of sight and under bumper

thru the skene bracket a friend bought, it gave me the idea of using the same approach (drilling under the bumper) via the oem bracket.
drill a hole out of the bottom of the oem plate bracket and drill into the bumper from underneath using the factory license plate screws. to make it fully secure drill 2 more tiny holes into the bumper also from underneath as well connecting to the edges of the licence plate bracket, using longer screws. 4 screws total (2 oem and 2 longer ones from home depot).
this solution costs 2$, ensures oem fitment (no crooked entering) and having the licence plate i the middle of the bumper. you can remove the plate bracket for photo opportunities . this method pretty much uses the same basic idea as all the aftermarket setups, except that it still utilizes the factory bracket (and its easy dummy proof center notch that fits right into the bumper for perfect fitment).

I went with the Rennline towhook mount. It's strong and easy to remove w/o drilling holes in the bumper.

Skene for me. Don’t drill holes in your bumper.

Skene works great. I used this setup to mount my euro plate on my ‘09. Not only are the holes hidden underneath the bumper, but the mount is fully adjustable. I was really impressed with the quality of this unit.
