I had the PPI done today
it all checked out just fine
no over revs on 5 or 6. zero.
small RMS leak. Not enough to drip onto floor. Can be done with future clutch replacement.

Default Have you made it yours yet?

I hope you wrote the check and the car is in your garage - you don't want her to start searching and realize how cheap she's letting this thing go.

no no. I told her she could get somwhere in the $32k range. Maybe more considering color combo and full leather. She doesn’t want to deal with it. I don’t need another car. But I’m going to make an exception at this price. Don’t be surprised if you see this up for sale real soon.
Going to clean the leather. Oil change and whatever else it needs.
I might just keep it. Not sure yet.

I guess that I am too late with this comment but the low price of this car would scare me off from buying it. People who sell exotic cars are rarely stupid. In my opinion the price is low because of the very shabby interior and the mileage (three times around the earth at the equator). I have been reading Porsche 997.1 for sale ads for approximately three years now and I have seen a substantial number of first gen 997s on sale with new or rebuilt engines due to IMS failure. I also suspect that the whole car may have been repainted. Look under some of the seals for a line of new paint over the original. In wanting to buy a gorgeous car such as this one (exterior), it is easy to talk one's self into disregarding Porsche's IMS failure problem. It would have been interesting to see photos of the cars underside. Anyway, if you buy it I wish you the best of luck.

I have a '07 base with 63k miles that I picked up from the dealer for 33k. Mine had alot of service done to it (new tires, new belts, new water pump), but 26k is a great price.
