Thanks! my car is factory X51, and I have done a center exit conversion from another well known vender, but not happy with it. would love to have your bypass pipes and run an OEM GT3 muffler instead.

With the Dynojet results in from the factory setup, this Carrera S put out a strong 300hp to the wheels giving a good baseline for the before and after results of Dora's build.

As Dora is undergoing the tear down process, lets take a quick peak at what is to be done for the TPC Racing bypass pipes to be custom fitted to the X51 headers.

We show the GT3 cone style flange that will be replaced with a custom 3 bolt flange to fit bolt-on to the X51 headers.

This is our Master Fabricator at work, utilizing high-grade Woolf Aircraft Stainless Steel bends and piping to develop a set of TPC Racing bypass pipes. Since 2003, he is the one man Fabrication department for TPC Racing!

Be sure to stay subscribed for more updates as we go on this journey together for Dora's build process!

how do you plan on dealing with the O2 sensors from the omitted cats? I NEED a set of these bypass pipes!

Thank you bmwfan for clarifying! The front bumper and lip is OEM 997.2 GT3. They were installed by another shop. Behind the center opening of the bumper there's currently no radiator and ducting. We will be installing 997.2 GT3 Cup center radiator, ducting, and hoses to provide superior cooling.

Any custom fab work to make it fit? Also have to change the wire harness for the fog lights from a .1 to a .2?

As you suspected, the wiring harness had to be changed but aside from that no modifications were necessary for the 997.2 nose.

As more progress is being made on Dora's tear down and prep for the motor drop, more Porsche goods made their way to the shop and were added to the collection for install.

The air box is from a 997.2 GT3 RS to be custom adapted to fit the X51 throttle body. This will surely make the engine bay pop with the new Porsche Motorsport air box and add performance gains.

It's gotta be fun to do a "build" with an open checkbook!

This sounds like a fun build. A couple of questions:

Why an X51 throttle body and not a GT3 unit?
Similarly, why X51 headers instead of aftermarket long-tubes?
