Default 2011 C2S 6spd manual value question

Sorry for another value thread but the replacement, a GT3T, is on the water and I’m not sure what to do with this car, sell it, trade her back to the dealer etc.

I purchased her about a year ago after being told that the new car was not going to happen

Very few C2S 6 spd manuals made in 2011

38k miles, CPO through 12/19, no issues

What do you think she would sell for?

Details:

US Production numbers

Gaudin Porsche Las Vegas has a nearly identical car except it has PDK with about 47k miles. It is CPO as well. They are asking about 58k. I nearly bought it before I bought my Targa a few weeks ago.

Dealers and KBB seem to be putting a 3K premium on PDK's over manuals. That's been my experience.

Beautiful car! My brother is currently in the market for a 997, but his budget is under 50k. If they give you less than that on a trade, feel free to reach out to me before you trade it in and i can put you in touch. Otherwise, best of luck with the sale!

My experience has been just the opposite, KBB is great for Toyota’s, not so much when it comes to specialty cars.

The manual C2S Coupe market is unique, primarily driven by the low production numbers and supported by data.

If you assume 50% of the 2011C2S cars were manual and 55% of 2011 997.2 production was exported to the US

That results in a bit more than 200 manual C2S cars in the US for model year 2011.

Thank you, the dealership offered significantly more than that before considering the tax credit on the next purchase, the delta including the tax credit is more than 10%

It looks like that may be my best option, appreciate all of the information, thanks guys.

I helped a friend find a duel use car a few years ago and did a lot of research for him, he ended up with a 997.2 PDK Coupe.

There is a thread around here that documents 997 production numbers, that is where some of my data came from.

If you search I’m sure that you can find it, I looked for a minute when I saw your question but could not locate it.

Two years ago I was actively looking for a GT3T and while I was not successful, I found the car that is the subject of this post.

What the data means for me is that there are not many 997.2 C2S manual coupes in the US.

What I did with that information was immediately buy the car I found when looking because it met “my” specifications.

As mentioned above, I found an allocation for the car I ultimately wanted, a GT3T, and I wanted to know what this car, the 997.2, was worth and if I should sell it or trade it in.

The manual 997.2 Coupe often gets lumped in with Cabs, C4S etc., it is unique and very low production, a true enthusiast car. I actually preferred the 997.2 manual Coupe over my GT4 and sold the GT4 this past summer, IMHO, the 997.2 C2S manual Coupe is that good.

The thread was very helpful to me with my decision, most likely going back to the dealer.

You may or may not find the information helpful but I hope you do and that’s my motivation for sharing

Patrick - I should contribute to this as well. IMHO if the car's clean and maintenance up to date $58-$62k private party.

lol the detail US production numbers for your car did not make the graph, not sure if that was do to availablity or just a glitch.

Anyway I added the global production numbers which certainly include your car in a subsequent post.

There is a thread around here that goes into 997 production numbers if someone wants to search and find the details, most of this data is from that thread.
