SOLVED: Tutorial on how to DIY your own hood release cable
Hi Everyone,
For all those (like me) who dread getting stuck with a dead or disconnected battery and not being able to release the front hood, I figured out how to DIY my own hood release cable for the Porsche 997. This should prove immensely useful for all 997 -- and potentially 996 -- owners out there.
This is my take on how to do it effectively, efficiently, and simplistically that anyone who knows how to use a screwdriver could do themselves. It'll take you 15min. and $1-2 in supplies. Tutorial is in the video below as there'll be too much to type here.
