Default Stupid move ignition key.

Help! I accidentally put my Tacoma key in my Porsche ('06 Carrera S) ignition slot and turned it. Now the Porsche key won't go in. Anyone else pull this bonehead move? And how did you resolve it? THANKS!

put the Tacoma key back in and turn it the other way .... I don't think you can make it worse so might as well take a gamble... before towing to the dealer

Thanks lowbee. Tried that. Tomorrow a call to my indy. I would really like to NOT have to have it flat-bedded in but I've got that feeling.

That sucks, at least you didn’t hook up your battery cables in reverse as some have accidentally done

THANKS Quadcam! Shoulda done the search first. Found some good info -- worked like a charm. Surprising that everyone who had done the same thing had done it with a Toyota key. Thanks again, I was sure I was facing a tow and a $$ shop bill.

Henry,

Just put the Tacoma key back in and turn it back the opposite way. Clears the blockage. The fact that I didn't figure that out is almost as dumb as doing it in the first place. DOH!!

I don't think I would have thought to do that either, reverse the key. Great forum!
