Default Difference between Porsche SSK vs Porsche GT3 SSK

For the past few years I’ve said that I bought the Porsche GT3 SSK for my 997.1S. I was looking at old receipts and realized that I bought the Porsche SSK. Two questions.

What at are the differences between the two?

Please advice if I can add shift cables to my Porsche SSK and what brand would be best for daily driving only?

Thanks,
b

I asked the same question of Suncoast before buying a GT3 shifter. Both parts are nearly the same, but the GT3 shifter has metal bearings on the shaft ends. Good for life of the car.

Personally I wouldn't replace the shifter cables on a street car. As I read it it's a difficult job. My cables were fine when I replaced the shifter, and adjusting them just right is part of the install.

I think the gt3 shifter isn't as short as the ssk. I chose the gt3 and I m very happy. Ask Suncoast to be sure.

GT3 has the same throw as the standard shifter. Only difference from stock is metal bushing on the GT3. The SSK has no metal bushing and really shortens the throw over the standard and the GT3.
