Default Front right fan runs constantly and ac circular options turns off

Hey guys I'm Rob. I'm new to the forums because I've never had any issues with my car until now. I have a 997.1 and when started it sounds like the front right fan is running constantly and I noticed when the ac is on that it blows warm and the circular button option turns off unless I switch it back on. Has anyone else had this problem? I'm trying to avoid the 2hr drive to the nearest dealer.

I had the problem of the right fan running constantly because the left fan was dead and locked up. The right was going full bore to compensate. New fan motor and everything is good.

Default Front fan

Thanks for replying. Did it cause your ac not to work right? Was it a difficult task to replace ,cost etc? Or did the dealer do the work?

I didn't notice a major change in AC but it would make sense that it would effect considering there is an AC condenser in front of the radiator on both sides. I didn't do the work myself, had an indy do it. It's a bumper off and wheel liner removed job. While they were at it I had them do a clear side marker change, clean the radiators, and put the Zunsport grills in. It was about 1k all said and done.

Ok thanks for the info. I'll take a look at the fan. Hopefully that's what the problem is. I think it's something simple because I'm not getting any type of error code or engine light faults on the clusters.
Thanks again

Pretty easy to check fan operation. With engine running and AC on, feel for fan exhaust air at front of both front wheels. You’ll also hear the fans running. You won’t get any dash lights for a failed fan.

AC not blowing cold is usually sign of low refrigerant.

Ok thanks I'll try that. Glad it happened now instead of the middle of the summer.

I know this thread is old but I’m having the exact issue….what ended up being the culprit?
