Default Brakes

So I'm sure I will get blasted for this post but here goes. I have an 08 c2s with 37,000 miles and I need brakes. I did 3 track days this year, 2 at Mid Ohio and 1 at Indy (which is really hard on brakes). I did 2 track days last year (both at mid Ohio). I would like to replace pads only but my front calipers have some light grooves in them while the rears are fine. I'm not sure how they got groves since there was never any brake noise or grinding. On any other vehicle I own I would not worry about the grooves and just let the pads seat into them and replace the rotors next time I need brakes. Because I am doing HPDE's I wanted to get some feedback.

I feel like there are 3 options
pads only
front rotors and pads
4 rotors and pads

Next question would be what pads and rotors do I look at.

Take it easy on me with the "tight wad" comments.

Dave, no worries. Good questions. There are plenty of options here. My recommendation is to start with fronts. You must replace both rotors and pads for many different reasons. They work really well together once bedding process is complete. It is not that expensive and very DIY. Just see many great videos and links. There are many suppliers out there now. I would get slotted front rotors from Sebro, ATE, DBA...As far as PADS, that is your choice as to how to balance street performance vs track. PFC 08s have been my choice but I am sure others will also suggest something new. Also you can get cheap GT3 front brake cooling ducts for extra 3% cooling. And don't forget to flush the system with new brake fluid like Motul 600 (including clutch).

Swap the pads. Run the rotors til they warp or crack.

I use Sebro slotted and pfc pads. Also stainless lines and gt3 ducts. Has worked well for me!
