Default 997 Street-to-Track conversion

Hey everyone... We have a pretty cool customer build wrapping up this week and figured everyone here would enjoy the pics.

Customer came in with this 997 half weekend fun car / half track day car, then decided he loved driving and took the leap to go full track car. Let the fun begin!

We'll continue to update photos as the build progresses.

HOW could you guys make the rear less heavy? From what I see you're pulling weight from all over the car (that's necessary), apart from the rear and to me the car would eventually be even more rear-biased which is not really ideal. Is there anything that can be done to lose some pounds in the back? I can't think of any option rather than lighter exhaust, and a light engine cover, wing... ideas?

I took what I would guestimate as 60lbs or so out of the rear of my GTS by removing the rear carpets altogether along with rear seats and subwoofer (this one seems like 15-20lbs on its own). Center muffler delete also helps. Those are the cheap ways. New titanium exhaust would help but thats getting up there in price.

Nice build. Center console unit is quite nicely done. Curious what has been done to the doors? More pictures or details, please.

What are you doing to the engine to make it go as well as it looks?

Thank you!

So with the doors we made a few modifications...

Doors:
Stripped away the speakers and unnecessary parts.
Traced and cut ABS plastic sheet to replace the factory door panel.
Relocated mirror & window switches.
Added door pull tabs and door handle out of a RS America Door Panel Kit we sell.

Engine:
IPD Plenum
Carbon Fiber air intake
Software Tune
Soul Performance exhaust

Default 997 Interior bits/carpets?

Do you still have the stock carpet set underneath seats and rear shelf?
